    光耀扶輪故事館在各界企盼下，於2022年7月21日緣牽台灣珍珠奶茶的故鄉，全球首座綠建築珍奶工廠–奇麗灣園區內剪綵揭牌。館藏豐富，不定期輪展，呈現創辦人國際扶輪2014-15年總社社長PRIP Gary黃其光精彩扶輪一生的縮影。透過相片、報導以及珍藏的扶輪紀念品，讓我們得以一窺其走訪世界各地一次又一次扶輪的感動，也見證扶輪行善天下。 

The Light Up Rotary House was inaugurated on July 21, 2022, in response to wide public anticipation. The ribbon-cutting took place at the Kili Bay Park, home of Taiwan’s famous bubble milk tea and the world’s first green-building bubble tea factory.

The house features a rich and rotating collection of exhibits that showcase the remarkable Rotary life of its founder, PRIP Gary C.K. Huang, President of Rotary International for 2014–15. Through photographs, news reports, and treasured Rotary memorabilia, visitors can catch a glimpse of the many inspiring moments from his journeys around the world—bearing witness to Rotary’s mission of doing good across the globe.

    向總社長學習之光耀扶輪系列講座，以真事蹟公開台灣扶輪的推手PRIP Gary這一路走來的秘辛。貫穿扶輪歷史，以扶輪服務闡述扶輪精義，深入簡出為社友提供借鏡，亦為市民認識扶輪的捷徑。

多元化的園區設備完善，一條龍活動服務，集參訪、美食、教育、交流之多重體驗。其中，會議室租借服務，是社友們舉辦各式扶輪中小型會議、職業參訪、青少年活動、以及接待國外扶輪社友參訪的首選場地。

The “Learning from the RI President – Light Up Rotary Lecture Series” shares the real stories behind PRIP Gary, the driving force who helped elevate Rotary in Taiwan. These talks reveal the little-known milestones along his journey, weave together Rotary’s history, and use Rotary service to illustrate Rotary’s true spirit. The series offers members valuable insights they can learn from—and provides the public with an accessible path to understanding Rotary.

The campus features diverse and well-equipped facilities, offering a full-service, one-stop experience that combines tours, great food, education, and fellowship. Among them, the meeting-room rental service is the top choice for members hosting small to medium-sized Rotary meetings, vocational visits, youth activities, and for welcoming visiting Rotarians from abroad.

    加入扶輪社46年，榮幸在2014-15年度成為國際扶輪第110位總社社長，也是117年來首位華人國際扶輪社長。選訂扶輪主題為「光耀扶輪」，希望以「燃燒自己，照亮別人」超我服務精神，讓世界同享扶輪服務、同感扶輪善行。

I’ve been a Rotarian for 46 years, and it was my honor to serve as the 110th President of Rotary International in 2014–15 — and the first Chinese President in Rotary’s 117-year history. I chose the theme Light Up Rotary because I believe in ‘lighting up others by burning brightly ourselves.’ My hope was that Rotary’s spirit of service would shine across the world, so everyone could experience the impact and goodwill of Rotary.

    上任後，成功推動「繁體中文」成為國際扶輪7種官方語言之一，光耀扶輪年，青天白日滿地紅國旗，隨著台語版「這是咱的扶輪社」的歌聲，全球遍地飄揚，竭力推廣台灣與中華文化。感謝台灣與全球社友鼎力支持，光耀扶輪年無論在社員成長與扶輪基金捐獻總額，均為歷年來之最高。

After taking office, I successfully advanced the inclusion of Traditional Chinese as one of Rotary International’s seven official languages. During the “Light Up Rotary” year, the Blue Sky, White Sun, and a Wholly Red Flag of the Republic of China flew proudly around the world, accompanied by the Taiwanese-language version of “This Is Our Rotary Club.” We worked tirelessly to promote Taiwan and Chinese culture on the global stage.

Thanks to the tremendous support of Rotarians in Taiwan and around the world, the Light Up Rotary year achieved the highest membership growth and the largest total contributions to The Rotary Foundation in Rotary’s history.

    2022年初，在偶然的機會下，因參觀奇麗灣珍奶文化館而認識了光耀扶輪年度中和圓通社社長陳家昇PP Coffee，欣喜知道我歷次的演講對他的影響，讓我思索如何以自身的故事帶給更多扶輪人和一般民眾正面的影響。我多年來世界各地元首、政要、政府單位、國際扶輪和扶輪社友餽贈的獎章、獎狀和紀念品，訝於數量之多，驚於品質之精，可提供為博物館級之展出。後經PP Coffee慨然提供展館用地。內人姚世蕾Corinna和我義無反顧同意全數捐出供展覽觀賞之用。

In early 2022, by chance, I visited the Qiliwan Bubble Tea Cultural Museum and met PP Coffee, President of the Rotary Club of Chung Ho Yuan Tung for the Light Up Rotary year. I was delighted to learn how much my past speeches had influenced him, and it inspired me to think about how I could use my own story to bring a positive impact to more Rotarians and to the public.

Over the years, I have received numerous medals, certificates, and gifts from heads of state, government officials, agencies, Rotary International, and fellow Rotarians around the world. I was surprised by how many there were—and even more impressed by their exceptional quality—truly worthy of museum-level exhibition.

Later, PP Coffee generously offered a venue for the exhibition. My wife, Corinna Yao Shih-Lei, and I wholeheartedly agreed to donate the entire collection for public display.

    經由建築師3490地區宜蘭南區社吳志明PP Architect及女兒吳嬛Kelly、光耀扶輪年度蘇澳社社長張祈祿PP Tile和羅東西區社謝榮佳PP Polo，鶯歌社羅毅PP Gift、策展人宜蘭南區社李垂麟PP Leo、宜蘭五結社鄭紀民Jimmy，以及3482地區的前總監陳景浪PDG Color及台北中城網路社杜孟玲PP Dolly，加入為規劃建館團隊，經由數個月的籌劃、施工、佈置，光耀扶輪館於焉在2022年7月間落成。

Through the involvement of Architect Wu Chih-Ming (PP Architect) from the Rotary District 3490 I-Lan South Rotary Club and his daughter Kelly Wu, along with PP Tile (Chang Chi-Lu), President of Su’ao Rotary Club during the Light Up Rotary year, PP Polo (Hsieh Jung-Chia) from the Lotung West Rotary Club, PP Gift (Lo Yi) from the YINGKO Rotary Club, curator PP Leo (Lee Chui-Lin) from the I-Lan South Rotary Club, Jimmy (Cheng Chi-Min) from the  I-Lan Wu Jie Rotary Club, as well as PDG Color (Chen Ching-Lang) from District 3482 and PP Dolly (Du Meng-Ling) from the Taipei Metropolitan Rotary e-Club—this group came together to form the planning and construction team.

After several months of planning, construction, and setup, the Light Up Rotary House was finally completed in July 2022.
